5 Tips For Staying Healthy During The Holidays

Are you all set for Christmas dinner yet? Are you worried that you’ll be ending the year a little unhealthier than usual? It’s okay. There are lots of ways you can celebrate and still live a healthy lifestyle.⠀

1. Swap coffee for ACV
Start your day with a glass of water with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (ACV). Studies suggest that ACV increases satiety and feelings of fullness. So you’re full even before you eat. ⠀

2. Stay hydrated
Drink lots of water only throughout the day. Resist the temptation to drink sugary beverages. Its will only add calories and throw your system out of whack. ⠀

3. Get fruity
Always eat your fruits first, especially fruits with high water content. This will keep you full faster and longer and  prevent you from overeating.⠀

4. Skip the fried stuff
Avoid fried food. Fried food adds more calories and more pounds to your weight. Steam, roast, grill or water saute your food instead.⠀

5. Take your time
Chew food slowly. The longer you chew, the longer it takes for you to finish your meal. By the time you’re done chewing the food on your plate, you’re already full.
