FLOW Boracay 2013 + Panda Sunglasses Giveaway!

Not in photo: Noelle Hilario, Stephanie Torres, Zoe Campbell and Summer Soul participants from Lifestyle Network
The Flow Team together with Lifestyle Network’s Summer Soul invaded the shores of Boracay last April 18-21 for 4 days of Surf, Yoga and Samba plus more! We had participants flying in from San Francisco, Singapore, Thailand, and an Aussie expat with our Manila crew.

Each participant received a pair of Havaianas flip flops to be used at the FLOW retreat! Isn’t that grand?

For the very first time, the FLOW girls teamed up with Paolo
Soler of Philippine Surfing Academy (PSA) for a surf session at the wave pool
of Crowne Regency in Station 2. The surf experience at the wave pool is
entirely new because you get perfect waves every single time which is appropriate
for beginners to be able to train the body for surf without having to wait for
actual waves.

Bri Manglapus, a certified Rocket Yoga teacher who also teaches
surf lessons at PSA, led an invigorating Vinyasa class at Boracay Terraces.
Here she is garbed in Zobha from Aura Athletica with FLOW’s Monica Manzano (also
in Zobha) before teaching her challenging class.
Imperatriz Filipinense (formerly known as Escola de Samba de Manila) performed live drumming and taught simple Samba dance moves to all guests at the Bohemian Fair and also during cocktails at Discovery Shores.

Samba beats = always a crowd pleaser!
Monica Manzano-FLOW’s yoga teacher, guided exhausted participants into a therapeutic Yin Yoga class at Discovery Shores beach front. Monica stressed the importance of rest in order to be fully active. The main aim and definition of yoga is balance, after all.
Here’s the group after that much-needed restorative Yin Yoga class on a beautiful morning

One afternoon, Alessa Lanot, DIY queen of Life After Breakfast,
taught everyone how to make rubberstamps at our Crafternoon workshop paired with
happy hour cocktails at Two Seasons.

The FLOW girls also love their greens and fruits 🙂

A Green Smoothie and Live Foods workshop at the Summer Soul
Bazaar was brought to you by Moringana and Breville. One of the hosts of
Listed, Wally Demesa interviewed Denise, Monica and Noelle on-stage asking
about the benefits of drinking Green Smoothies and what exactly are Live Foods.
Thanks Maika for taking this shot!
Spreading the Green Smoothie Revolution to the people of Boracay! Here’s what we served below: a concoction of local greens with Moringana, (raw but ripe) saba and ripe mangoes (the best in the world!) using a high powered blender by Breville!

The FLOW team ended their Boracay adventure with a sunset sail thanks to Solaire! Monica was able to use her cool Panda shades to protect her eyes from the harsh rays of the sun.
