Superfood Coffee Recipe For All Day Energy

If you your morning ritual consists of a caffeine fix, consider this nourishing alternative to sugar-laden lattes. Spiked with superfoods such as maca, cacao, lucuma and healthy fats like coconut mct oil, this turns your regular cup jo into a healthier morning sip. It will still give you energy-boosting results without the crash while promoting great skin, increased immunity and better overall health.

Maca is a Peruvian root crop known for its antioxidant powers and consuming this superfood also helps in reducing stress and anxiety. Since maca is enhances energy, a small dose on your coffee would just be enough. Raw cacao powder contains an incredible source of iron and magnesium, and gives a creamy texture to your drink without dairy. Lucuma is another root crop that has amazing anti-aging benefits and increases alertness.

 

Ingredients:

1 cup freshly brewed organic coffee

1/2 cup non dairy milk such as almond, cashew, oat or coconut milk

1/2 tsp maca powder

1 tbsp raw cacao powder

1/2 tsp lucuma

dash of cinnamon

1 tsp coconut mct oil

1 tbsp maple syrup or coconut sugar to taste

 

Method:

Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.

Pour into a huge mug and enjoy first thing in the morning or in the afternoon for an energy boost!
