Three Ways To Improve Your Fitness This Summer

Summer is always a good motivation to get fit and in your best shape. We may be in the last few weeks of summer but it’s never to late to work on your beach bod (besides we live in a tropical country when it’s practically beach weather all year!)

Instead of hitting the gym, we recommend these unique and fun workouts offered by GoWell that work up a sweat, beat the bloat and burn fat stat!

Pound Rockout Workout

A workout for you fitness rockstars. Combining cardio condition and strength training with yoga and Pilates-inspired movements, Pound is an intense, full body, fat burning workout created by two female drummers. Instead of weights, lightweight drumsticks, called Ripstix, are used to tone up the arm muscles. Pound is excellent for those who get easily bored with reps with its variety of movements and techniques all within a 45 minute class. Designed for all fitness levels, Pound will get your sweat dripping to a leaner and sculpted physique.

Indoor Rowing

Zap those calories in this seated exercise. Indoor rowing is a full body yet low impact workout guaranteed to get your heart rate through the roof. You will challenge different muscle groups as you engage on both the lower and upper body as well as the core, thereby burning over 300 calories in just a 30 minute workout. If running is not your thing, perhaps hopping on a rowing machine might fancy your need for a good cardio workout.

Boxing

Kick, punch, jump. Boxing is one exercise trend that will stay around in the fitness industry, for good reasons. A mentally and physically demanding workout on its own, boxing builds total body strength, improves cardiovascular health and paired with a nutritious eating plan, may improve body composition as well. With the series of punches you throw, the lungs and heart work overtime. You can easily burn 900 calories in one session and even hours after, a post fat burning effect that other cardio activities don’t offer, makes boxing an effective way to lose weight and tone muscles. Boxing may have you feeling utterly exhausted but leaves you with a good stress relief and sense of confidence at the same time.
